The First Days

As most of you know, this trip has been a long time in the making.  Preparing for the journey included everything from dehydrating as much food as possible, to making the truck as close to home as we could.  Although we'll be doing plenty of backcountry camping, we are heading into winter and  hope to do some snowboarding across the country too. We'll be looking for odd jobs along the way and are open to suggestions for work or leisure, from those who may know the areas better than we do. 

Those of you that have been able to visit us out on the blessed island from which we've departed, know it will be a hard place to beat!  Let alone all the amazing people we know...you all have helped us get to where we are.  Thank you.  It will be an interesting trip to see where we end up, and we hope to meet up with some of you along the way.  At the end of the day, we know we can always come home to the places and faces of those we love.

Until then, we'll be exploring and learning, and trying to figure it all out...whatever that means?  Love to you all,
