Sofia

This Bulgarian capital is quiet this time of year, as most of the locals vacate for summer coastlines. Therefore, the streets are uncrowded by day, and the night life requires you to bring your own party to the bar. We didn't seem to get any people pictures from this lovely place, but that is what we will mainly take with us from here. As we "cheers" our last night, we look at the diversity of those around us. We all may live a world apart, but were all brought together in this place, for good reason.
Take care...until we meet again...

Belgrade

We ended up on a train traveling east with a 4 hour stop in Serbia. It gave us a chance to catch up with a friend we met last year about this time in South Dakota. Thanks for the lightning tour of the city, wish it could have been longer!

Zagreb

The beautiful capital of Croatia will always be a special place, as it reminds us of those we've come to love. Some people try to see it all...but we're content with seeing what we did and spending quality time, all the while knowing we'll be back to see what we missed. Hope to see you on the road real soon...
here, there or anywhere.

The island of Iž...a last minute decision that turned out to be divine. We spent a week camping on the coast here, but could have stayed for months.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

It is not hard to see why this area became the first national park in Croatia. By boardwalk, buses, boats and many hiking trails you can experience the park as you wish and at your pace.

Linden Tree

Sometimes there are no words to describe...all that is left is memories and sometimes if you're lucky, pictures. With all situations in life, there are highs and there are lows. Life cannot totally be appreciated as the gift that it is if everything is in a state of bliss all the time. This is one of the many lessons we will take from our time at Linden. The following photos show glimpses of moments and memories from this beautiful place.

There is a reason why we stayed as long as we did, and why we began our overseas journey here in the first place. It may not always be clear for us or others to understand, and only in time will the true meaning reveal itself. From what has surfaced so far, we know we were meant for this place, the time that we shared and the many amazing people we have met here. We are thankful for all of our experiences and remain open to all the possibilities to come. Wishing you all safe travels, many blessings and much love, xx
