Plitvice Lakes National Park

It is not hard to see why this area became the first national park in Croatia. By boardwalk, buses, boats and many hiking trails you can experience the park as you wish and at your pace.

Linden Tree

Sometimes there are no words to describe...all that is left is memories and sometimes if you're lucky, pictures. With all situations in life, there are highs and there are lows. Life cannot totally be appreciated as the gift that it is if everything is in a state of bliss all the time. This is one of the many lessons we will take from our time at Linden. The following photos show glimpses of moments and memories from this beautiful place.

There is a reason why we stayed as long as we did, and why we began our overseas journey here in the first place. It may not always be clear for us or others to understand, and only in time will the true meaning reveal itself. From what has surfaced so far, we know we were meant for this place, the time that we shared and the many amazing people we have met here. We are thankful for all of our experiences and remain open to all the possibilities to come. Wishing you all safe travels, many blessings and much love, xx

Istria

A lovely Croatian peninsula in the Adriatic that borders Italy provided a great summer seaside getaway. Although we were there during the peak tourist season, which we usually try to avoid, we enjoyed our time in the old towns and waters that line the coast. From the Korzo pedestrian strip up the many steps to the Trsat Castle of Rijeka and the Triumphal Arch of Sergius and Roman Amphitheatre of old town Pula...the history of this place is simply amazing. Although the wild untouched areas seem to capture us most of the time, we found the architecture and energy of these places very captivating. We look forward to returning someday and exploring even more.

Zadar

A day trip to Zadar seemed to be the perfect getaway. With the help of some friends we ended up on a lovely boat ride to a cove of one of the many islands across the way. It was a great day to spend in the Adriatic, where the torquise waters are so stunningly clear and vibrant. On a day like this, it's hard to imagine any other place we'd rather be. Thank you Romana and Danko!!

Storm Cloud

The introduction of a new horse to a herd is a very interesting sight to witness. There is a definite hierarchy within the existing herd and all of the horses will take their shot at the new guy, maybe not at first, but all in their own time. Needless to say, the stallion's responsibility in this situation is to let him know who the real leader of the herd is so that no one in the herd has any questions about it.

it will take a few weeks for things to settle down :)

Storm Cloud gets his name not by merely his coloration, but really by his overall energy. He has the ability to move quickly, and at times unpredictably, very amazing to watch. He likes to intimidate people and is very proud and dominant. He is a good reminder of the strength and wildness that all horses hold within them, and just like any good storm, can release in the blink of an eye.
